Expanding Access to Dental Care: Welcoming Dr. Miyares, New Spaces & Improved Equipment to Serve More Families

All Care Health Center is proud to announce a significant expansion of our dental services to increase access to high-quality, compassionate oral health care for families across our community. In September, All Care welcomed a new full-time dentist, Dr. Miyares. Dr. Miyares brings eight years of experience in general dentistry, including extensive work in public health settings serving patients of all ages. She previously oversaw clinical quality, safety standards, and team leadership at a community health center.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Miyares is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to diverse families in our community.
The anticipation of her arrival prompted a partial remodel of our dental area, including the construction of an additional operatory. All Care wishes to thank Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation for its investment in our dental clinic remodel, which will strengthen and transform the health and smiles of all Iowans. This investment not only increases our capacity but also positions our team to reduce wait times and serve more patients who struggle to find affordable dental care. All Care values its continued partnership with Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation, whose vision, rooted in the belief that all Iowans deserve equitable access to healthcare, aligns with All Care’s mission-driven community care.
With the addition of Dr. Miyares, and a new clinical space came the need for upgraded and expanded equipment to support higher patient volume and best-practice infection control. All Care extends heartfelt appreciation to Variety – The Children’s Charity of Iowa, whose generosity helped secure new, efficient sterilization equipment. This equipment plays a vital role in ensuring safe, timely care for patients—especially as appointment availability grows. We are deeply grateful for Variety’s continued commitment to children’s health and well-being.
The expanded team, remodeled space, and equipment updates enabled All Care to serve an additional 131 dental patients in October. This milestone reflects not only the beginning of improved capacity, but our long-standing commitment to meeting community need, removing barriers, and ensuring that the ability to pay does not determine who receives care.
Access to oral health services is essential to whole-person health, academic success, employment opportunity, and overall quality of life. All Care is continuing to pursue innovative strategies, staffing, funding, and partnerships that will further expand access—especially for our most vulnerable neighbors.
All Care Health Center is grateful for community partners, supporters, and our dedicated dental team, who make progress like this possible. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier future—one smile at a time.
