Company Chow Time Kicks Off at Thomas Jefferson High School with All Care Health Center

This school year, Thomas Jefferson High School launched its first Company Chow Time of the school year, welcoming All Care Health Center as the inaugural guest. During this lunch-and-learn event, ten students explored healthcare career pathways, asked thoughtful questions, and heard firsthand experiences from professionals in the field. Students shared their aspirations and engaged in lively discussions about the many ways healthcare careers can make a meaningful difference.
“Company Chow Time allowed high schoolers to see that as health care professionals, we were in similar positions not long ago. We had to make big decisions on what to do after high school, and all have unique journeys into the profession,” reflected Ellie Anderson, All Care’s school-based mobile medical provider. “I hope it makes us, and health care in general, feel more accessible to them. We want to support them not just in their health, but in their future goals as well.”
Company Chow Time highlights the ongoing partnership between All Care Health Center and the Council Bluffs Community School District, which brings mobile medical care directly to students at Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Kanesville Learning Center, Wilson Middle School, Kirn Middle School, and Carter Lake Elementary. Mobile medical services include primary medical care, well-child visits, sports physicals, medication management, vaccinations, and sick visits.
In-school behavioral health services are available for students who are struggling in school with their mental health. Our behavioral health therapist says that kids are displaying anxiety, depression, trauma, large behaviors, and the need for social skill development.

Kay Stutzman, All Care’s school-based behavioral health therapist, emphasizes the importance of supporting students’ emotional well-being. “Helping kids overcome their mental health struggles is a passion of mine. I love building therapeutic relationships with the kids and watching their personalities shine as they learn skills to improve their mental health,” she shares. Through her work in schools, Kay provides students with the tools, guidance, and support they need to navigate challenges, build resilience, and thrive both academically and personally.
Scheduling care is easy. Appointments for mobile medical services can be made by calling (712) 309-1711 or by speaking with your school nurse. In-school behavioral health services are available in the Council Bluffs Community School District high schools, middle schools, and at the Kanesville Learning Center. Parents interested in behavioral health services for their child can connect with their school counselor to learn more.
By meeting students where they learn, this collaboration reduces barriers to care, ensures timely support, and helps students stay healthy and engaged.
All services are available regardless of insurance status, reflecting All Care’s commitment to every student.
