April has experience providing School-Based Therapy in the Council Bluffs Community School District and has a passion for working with students and families. Her background also includes working in long-term residential treatment, where she supported individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental health concerns. She has also worked in hospice, providing bereavement care and grief support.

Outside of work, April is the oldest of five siblings and loves being an aunt to her nieces and nephew. She earned her undergraduate degree in Musical Theatre and continues to enjoy the arts and all things creative. She especially loves writing and enjoys attending writing workshops, classes, and poetry-related events.
