Do Good! Become an All Care Health Center Ambassador for a Day (or more)!
Experience what it is like to be an All Care Health Center ambassador during Do Good Week, sponsored by Share Iowa and the Community Foundation for Western Iowa!
Visit All Care Health Center for a tour of our facility and a brief Community Health Center 101. While onsite, we’ll also provide an opportunity for questions while you enjoy refreshments.
Following the event, share your new knowledge about All Care Health Center with others. As a volunteer ambassador, we kindly request that you send a handful of emails to individuals who would benefit from our services or could help spread the word about the accessibility of our services. We will provide templates and materials to assist you in this task. When you share, you increase access to care, improving the entire community’s health outcomes.
Joel Dougherty, All Care’s CEO, said it best. “It’s not about bringing in more dollars but seeing more people. The more people we see, the more people who are well.” All Care truly wants everyone to know that assistance is available to help people overcome barriers to receiving healthcare.
Volunteers are invited to continue their work as All Care Ambassadors throughout the year (optional. Opportunities may include sharing information via personal email and social media and participating in optional in-person volunteer activities such as food pantry shifts.
As a token of appreciation for their volunteerism, ambassadors will be invited to a staff picnic during National Health Center Week in early August. At the picnic, ambassadors will be recognized and presented with a certificate for their contributions.
